Monkton OM Jack Bennett Makes Bath Rugby Debut

Monkton celebrated the recent achievements of OM Jack Bennett, who made his debut for Bath Rugby on Sunday 2nd February.

Jack entered the field in the 70th minute, marking a significant milestone in his rugby career.

Jack's journey with Monkton began in Year 3, and he continued through to his final year in 2023. During his time at the school, he became an integral part of the Monkton rugby program, captaining the 1st XV in his final year.

Reflecting on his time at Monkton, Jack emphasised the support he received from coaches and teachers, which helped him build confidence and develop leadership skills. He said: "I absolutely loved my time at Monkton. The school's flexible approach and supportive community allowed me to excel both academically and on the rugby pitch." 

Jack noticed the importance of balancing academic commitments with his rugby aspirations, crediting the school's staff for their guidance. Jack's debut with Bath Rugby is a testament to his hard work and we look forward to following his continued success in professional rugby.
