Our Facilities

Monkton Combe School, set amongst wonderful gardens just a few miles from the historical City of Bath in the beautiful Midford valley, can provide a wonderful backdrop for your function.

Our extensive range of facilities include two exclusive dining halls, conference halls, residential accommodation, music recital and recording facilities, as well as a great range of sports facilities. Monkton is delighted to welcome private groups, companies and charities.

Conferences

Conference facilities at Monkton range from our smallest Dining Room seating 16 guests, to a large auditorium seating up to 350 delegates, theatre style. Our chefs are on hand to meet all your dietary requirements and provide refreshments throughout the day.

Main Dining Hall

With seating for up to 180 guests, our elegant oak clad dining hall offers the perfect backdrop for that special birthday party or sumptuous banquet. Crisp white linen, polished cutlery, tables and elegant chairs are available to provide the finishing touches.

The Old Hall

Photo of The Old HallWith elegant decor offering an ambience befitting your special occasion, our Old Hall can be utilised for perhaps a smaller gathering or conference, or simply used as an arrival venue or quieter space in conjunction with the main Dining Hall.

David Bowerman Recital Hall

Photo of David Bowerman Recital HallPlanning a small concert or gathering, our Recital Hall can accommodate up to 70 guests, plus balcony seating. We have 12 private rehearsal rooms and a recording suite.

Sports Facilities

Grass Tennis Court Hire

Monkton's Grass Courts on Longmead are available for hire, if you wish to book please do call us on 07936369389 or 01225 833363. Booking is essential, there is no turn up and play.

  • Court booking is available for singles or doubles matches.
  • Children under the age of 14 years must be supervised by an adult.
  • Players must bring their own equipment.
  • Toilet facilities are not available for use.

Hire Charge - £12.00 per hour

We can also provide 'all-weather' and grass tennis courts, an indoor swimming pool, cricket pitches and a well-equipped indoor sports hall.
