Everyday Sexism Talk

On Friday 2nd February, Year 11-13 students heard from Laura Bates on Everyday Sexism.
Laura has written 8 books that have been translated into 7 languages and she speaks across the globe on this topic. Her powerful talk examined the negative impact a culture of sexism has on both men and women and what we can do to change this. There were some brilliant questions asked by Monktonians, which led to us gaining a glimpse into the personal impact that this work has had on Laura since she launched the Everyday Sexism Project.
We will be continuing to discuss the themes raised in her talk in PD and in house based discussion in the coming weeks.
