Monkton Military Boarder celebrates Bath Rugby and A-level success
Bath Rugby player and military boarder celebrates outstanding A-level results.
Callum K was one of Monkton’s highest achievers with an incredible 3 A* grades in Physics, Maths and Further Maths and an A grade in Chemistry.
Callum joined Monkton Prep in Year 7 and has thrived in his academics, as well as on the rugby pitch. His final year at Monkton coincided with being captain of Monkton's first XV and his third successful season with Bath Rugby, culminating in playing in the first ever Bath win in the U18 Academy League Final.
Callum is one of six siblings in a military family, and at Monkton was selected as the Head of House in his final year in boarding.
Houseparent Andy Robinson described Callum as a role model to his peers: “He is incredible at setting an example of hard work and desire, which is infectious to others.” He added, “It has been an honour to see Callum grow and develop during his time at Monkton and he has done so with a mature degree of humility.”
Callum is going to Loughborough University in September to study Aeronautical Engineering and continue playing rugby.
