Prep Pupils Compete for GB at European Biathle Championships

Monkton Prep pupils Callum LR and William S had an incredible few days competing for Great Britain at the 2024 European Biathle-Triathle-Laser Run Championships in Portugal, from the 1st-7th July. Both boys competed multiple times over the championships and came home with lots of silverware!

Callum was up first in the Biathle, racing brilliantly to take home the Silver medal and finish top Brit. partnering up with his GB team mate, he also took home the Gold in the Mixed Relay.

William was up next in the Triathle - he also had a superb run, finishing top Brit and taking the Bronze medal. Together with his team, he bagged a Silver medal for GB. 

Finally, both boys were in action in the Laser Run Championship. William had a fantastic individual run, once again being the first Brit over the line and taking the Silver medal. He and Callum were then both part of the GB trio who took Silver in the team event. 

The boys' results are a testament to their hard work and dedication, and that of their coaches; the future looks bright for pentathlon-style events at Monkton and beyond!
