Prep School U11 Netball Champions
Netball at our Prep School has had a strong start to the Lent Term with plenty of fixtures for pupils in Years 3 - 8. Over the season so far we have seen some competitive fixtures with fantastic results and plenty of progress being made by all.
On Wednesday the 8th of February, our U11A and U12A teams took part in the annual KES netball tournament. The girls needed to start fast against a strong KES team and although they went behind early, they dominated the later stages of the game to record a 7-4 victory!
Charlotte R was on fire throughout the afternoon, scoring 24 of our 27 goals and was very strong in our second game against Kingswood, which was won 6-3. Not to be outdone, Charlotte's pairing Tilly was impassable in defence, and led the team to a 6-1 victory over Paragon. Both teams worked fantastically together with some incredible performances throughout the afternoon, with the U12s getting stronger with each game.
They showed resilience when finding themselves behind in the score, even managing to turnover a deficit to beat Royal High School by 1 goal.
Congratulations to the U11s who remained unbeaten all afternoon, meaning they finished 1st overall. Exciting teams for the future! Wonderful collaboration and leadership shown from all of the girls and we look forward to many more successes to come.
