EMART Awards 2024

Friday 10th May saw one of the highlights of the year for Music, Drama and Media Studies students - the EMART Awards,Monkton’s version of the Oscars, BAFTAS and Emmys all rolled into one. 

Everyone was dressed in their finest outfits, enjoyed a meal together, and celebrated some of the amazing achievements of our GCSE and A Level students. There were performances from Kambua, Arthur and Mathilde, a jazz piano solo from Isaac, and the most stunning piece of ballet from Pené. Everyone was also wowed by the guest-of-honour, session drummer Rob Brian, who has worked around the world with artists such as Siouxsie Sioux, Simple Minds and Goldfrapp. 

There were 17 winners of categories ranging from GCSE Drama Ensemble of the Year to Media Mogul 2024, but it is not all about the nominees and winners, the evening’s main purpose is to highlight and celebrate the incredibly creative work and amazing artistic achievements which happen for our students throughout the year.
