Monkton Grounds Team Highly Commended

We are delighted to be able to say that Monkton's Grounds Team has received recognition from the Institute of Groundsmanship as part of the Institute's annual awards. Whilst we narrowly missed out on the final prize, the Institute awarded us the status of 'Highly Commended'. The picture shows our Grounds Team with their award.
 

In awarding us this status, the CEO of the Institute commented that the School's 'application proves your passion, dedication and commitment to presenting sports surfaces to a standard that we can only stand back and admire.'

We congratulate James Down and his team for this well deserved recognition - many of you have commented at the start of this academic year how good our estate is looking and so it is pleasing to receive external recognition for this.

In addition to our inspection successes, you will be aware that the School has now received recognition for its work from a number of external bodies, including in relation to our marketing, our catering and from the Living Wage Foundation and so it is pleasing to receive further recognition here.
