Monkton is welcoming teachers and other interested parties to our second 'Making the Implicit Explicit' conference on Friday 16th June 2023.

As we explore what education should look like in the future, we want to ensure that the students of today aren't left out as we plan for the students of tomorrow. The premise to the conference is that so many of the aptitudes which need a higher profile in our curricula are already there - just implicitly. By making them explicit, evidencing them, and assessing them, we demonstrate that we value them. The conference will share and explore a number pilot projects (including Rethinking Assessment's and ACER's Creative Thinking study), disseminate great practice and explore next steps.

Sessions will include:

Michael Morpurgo, Author and Times Commissioner

Prof Bill Lucas, Director of the Centre for Real-World Learning

Delegates from schools, colleges, and wider educational institutions, as well as those interested in getting involved, are warmly welcome to attend.

This event is being run in partnership with Rethinking Assessment, Challenge Partners and Pearson.
