Early Years Exemption
Information for parents
Monkton Combe School is registered for Early Years Exemption (EYE) through Bath and North East Somerset Council.
EYE is childcare funding from the Government, currently available to all children aged 2, 3 and 4. The funding begins from the term after your child’s second or third birthday and lasts until they start school at the statutory age. From April 1st 2024 this funding extends to 2 year olds of working families. This commences at the beginning of the term after your child's second birthday.
Our registration allows us to offer our parents 15 hours per week of funding at the BANES basic provision rate.
Monkton Early Years provision extends beyond a basic level of provision and therefore our rates are higher than the BANES rate. Our rates for 2024-25 can be found here.
Monkton prides itself on the service level it offers in its early years education provision which includes additional enrichment activities and specialist tuition.
