Monkton is seeking to appoint a full time teacher of physics from September 2018. The successful applicant will share our vision for fostering a love of lifelong learning, both for students and teachers. He or she will have a commitment to individuals, seeing this as the basis for students to flourish. He or she will see education as lighting fires rather than filling pails, and appreciate the contribution that co-curricular activities make to the learning process.
 
For applicants with the appropriate experience, there may also be opportunities for further responsibility.

Monkton Combe School is seeking to appoint x2 part time Domestic Cleaners to join to our Domestic Services Department. Both positions are based at our Prep and Pre-Prep site on Combe Down, however at the direction of the Domestic Services Managers, the successful candidates may be required to work at the Senior school in Monkton Combe village to fulfil the needs of the school. The working hours are 30 hours per week, from 6am to 12.30pm Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday working to support special events such as Open mornings.

Hockey Coach

Hockey Coach (in addition Cricket Coaching maybe available for the right candidate) – Fixed term contract – To Start in January 2018

Monkton Combe School is seeking to appoint for January a suitably qualified, experienced and inspiring Hockey Coach to work with our pupils across both Senior and Prep Schools.

Your duties in the department will include but is not limited to coaching small groups and individuals as part of the Hockey Coaching programme.  Coaching takes place for 4 afternoons per week between

1345 – 1600 (Monday to Friday).  Additional hours are available coaching at the Preparatory School and an extension in to the Summer Term for a suitable candidate that can also offer Cricket.  Flexibility in regards to working hours maybe required.

There may also be additional hours not specified in this job description plus involvement with competitive fixtures and internal tournaments and events across multiple sports for the right candidate.

Librarian - Senior School

Monkton Senior School is seeking to appoint for January 2018 an inspiring and motivated Librarian to manage, develop and promote the Cuthbertson Learning Resource Centre (hereafter referred to as the CLRC) within the senior school to ensure that an excellent resource and information service is provided to all students and staff.

Specific duties will include but are not limited too;

To produce, manage and review a CLRC Development Plan which is consistent with and integrated into the Learning Development Plan and which reflects the educational aims and objectives of the school

To ensure that students utilising the CLRC behave in a manner appropriate to the standards, aims and objectives of the school

To oversee the management and organisation of the CLRC, to include - but not limited to - the selection, acquisition, organisation, promotion and maintenance of book and non-book resources to cover the full age and ability range of the school community

To ensure that the CLRC is promoted, managed and utilised in a manner that ensures equal opportunities for all members of the school community

To organise events to promote reading and creative writing

To develop links with subject department HODs to promote the use of the CLRC as an innovative resource that is fully integrated into the school community and meets the needs of  its learners in a manner that is responsive to the fast changing world of communication and information technology

Casual Monkton Minis & Muckers Assistant
