Supporting Monkton

Why give to Monkton?

We hope that you have experienced what a remarkable place Monkton is. Our community truly encourages our staff and pupils to think differently; failure is celebrated as a learning experience and any child, from whatever background or culture, can thrive.

We are dedicated to continuing to develop the Monkton experience for all young people, but can only do so through the generous support of our community. Please consider whether you are able to give either a regular or one-off donation to support our ongoing vision.

If you are in a position to donate regularly, please fill out this form and email or post it to the Development Office:

Our current fundraising appeals

Bursary AppealLogo - Child Holding an Illustrated lightbulb

Since our foundation, Monkton has financially supported students who are disadvantaged in some way through our bursary provision. There is a range of support available to help children and young people from a variety of circumstances.

We offer life-changing bursaries designed to help those from the most challenging situations. For example we currently support pupils from war-torn countries and difficult home environments. We work with charities in order to identify young people for whom Monkton could make a significant difference and support them throughout their school journey.

Bursary support is also available at varying levels to pupils and families who are not in a position to pay full fees, either at the start of their Monkton journey or if they fall on hard times whilst they are here.

Case for Support

Christian Leadership Bursaries  Monkton Chapel

The Christian faith is at the heart of who we are as a school. Through Christian Leadership Bursaries, we aim to provide at least one place per year in our Sixth Form for young people whose parents work in full-time Christian ministry.

Supporting the Monkton Experience

Through donations from our generous benefactors, the School has been able to complete a number of capital projects in the last few years. These include:

  • The AC Maths & Science centre (2008)
  • Music Centre (2012)
  • The John Chaplin Boathouse at Saltford (2014)
  • The Basson Art and Design Centre (2016)
  • The new Pre-Prep building (2016)
  • All Weather pitches (Prep-2009, Senior 2020)

We have ambitious plans for our future to ensure continued growth and development of the School and to meet the needs of current and future Monkton families. Education is constantly changing and here at Monkton we are constantly innovating. Our next two projects are a refurbishment of the Pavilion on Longmead and the development of the Quads. For more information on other future plans please do get in touch.
